*PICTURES COMING SOOOOOOOOOON”*
Billions of years ago, an event occurred that marked the most magnificent age of evolution- the birth of the dinosaurs. From their reptilian ancestors, these creatures grew to massive heights and ruled the Earth themselves.
Most of the dinosaurs were mean and ruthless. They fed on the mammals and made their lives hell. Being at the bottom at the food chain meant that it was going to be hard to evolve and thrive. The mammals were, however, strong-willed creatures, and determined to rule the Earth. But how? They were no match for their massive, dominating enemies.
Then one day, a huge star fell from the sky.
The giant star crashed down upon the Earth, killing almost everything. The great star’s power had such an impact that it angered the Earth, and volcanoes began to erupt worldwide. The Earth soon lay quiet, as it seemed that all life forms were gone. Slowly but surely, the remaining creatures crawled out, reorganized the herds, and tried to live again. Something was different- the dinosaurs appeared to take a massive beating, and their numbers dwindled down to nothing. This was their chance- it was time for the mammals to rise.
So what was this thing that caused such a change? It is thought that ancient mammals approached the remains of the giant star with utmost praise and thanks. A massive crater was all that was left- along with the mysterious stones from the meteor. These strange pieces of rock would soon change everything. They began worshiping the great basin, and thanking it for weakening the dominance of the dinosaurs. It is thought that as a sign of appreciation, the star left behind the stones for the mammals. Each one was radiating with mysterious power. When one possessed a stone, he could change his form and become significantly stronger. Each form was unique, and the physical and mental changes were irreversible.
The mammals began growing stronger. The remaining dinosaurs’ numbers began to increase, however, and the mammals became concerned. They prayed to the star for more help, and sure enough, it came. They asked that this time, something would come about, but something that the they could handle (rather than volcanic eruptions!). Shortly after began the ice age.
The ice age killed off every dinosaur- or so they thought.
The stones brought about advances in technology and intelligence, and civilizations of mammals and now other animals-mostly ancient carnivores- began to form. Once the ice age had ended, it was easier for the animals to become more civilized and advance. The first massive city was built, and it was called Apolla City.
Apolla City was a strange and beautiful place. Three pyramids were built in honor of the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth. Beneath the dirt of the basin, shards of the fallen star would glow during the night. It was then thought that the star was given to the animals of Earth as a gift from the moon. They believed that the moon was the Sun’s son, who was showing his appreciation to the creations of Earth. The Sun’s power gave energy to all creatures, so the Sun and moon were worshiped as gods.
The shard stones from the meteor became more strange with time. Over the next couple thousand years since their arrival, from each piece grew a mysterious, radiant, greenish-white flower. They were called Moon Flowers. The animals no longer needed the stone itself, and even more individuals could enjoy the power. The stones/seeds were still, however, often worn around city warriors’ necks to show power and appreciation to the gods.
Many years passed, and the animals and their mutated descendants were becoming even more intelligent and social. Societies began to grow, as well as strange agreements between carnivores and herbivores; small and large animals; especially birds and mammals. All was well- the dinosaurs seemed to be wiped out, worldwide peace seemed feasible…until two major problems developed…
First, there WERE still remaining dinosaurs. They had found out about the great power of Apolla City. They stole flowers that grew near the city and ate them. These dinosaurs lived on as extremely powerful and dangerous mutants known as dragons. The dragons cultivated and began to form their own army.
The more serious matter, however, was the fact that some mammals, birds and other members of Apolla City had become too powerful. Many animals began to worry about disloyalty and revolution. Skepticism and prejudice became obvious. The ice breaker was when the terrible plague of disease swept across the planet.
They called it “the Era of Sorrow”.
It was a horrible, horrible disease. Like a massive Rabies virus, many mutants raged out of control, infecting others. The situation was so out of hand. Mutants seems to catch the virus easier, since their immune systems were different and it seemed that they just couldn’t handle the disease. Also, they were more dangerous because not only were they more powerful, they would live though the disease’s stages longer, therefore being able to infect more animals. The biggest problem ended up being…fear. Normal animals were terrified of every mutated animal- even the ones that devoted their lives to protecting them.
Every mutant was quarantined. Horrible experiments were conducted on them, and the separation began.
Healthy mutants were disgusted with the way authoritative animals were handling the situation. They were being treated as if they had already committed crimes, and were already infected. All power was stripped of anyone that had mutant blood. After years of building tension, war was declared. A new Kingdom was born; they called themselves Librudus Lunas. They came to be called “Librudes”- a name that was greatly feared by animals. Cults of Librudes formed, and after a long and tiresome battle, they ran out the normal animals. They began to terrorize the earth. It didn’t help that Librudes and dragons soon joined forces!
Years, decades, eons passed. War became routine, fear was first instinct, and extinction was a common, yearly thing. It was truly Hell on Earth.
Fortunately for the animals-although it took another hundred years- the increasing abuse of the star’s stones greatly weakened their energy, and over time, the flowers just stopped growing. The basin’s radiating warmth grew cold, and the power was gone. The cults quickly went mad, and order for the Librudes was gone.
Right around the time the Librudes fell apart, a vaccine for the virus was official in both the Librude and animal societies, and it was eradicated from the earth.
In fighting off the Librudes, different types of animals within society began to have even stronger ties. Reptiles were still, however, cautiously feared and closely watched as they slowly became dedicated members of animal societies. All laws were negotiated by the ultimate Kingdom Animalia that was ruled by top species of the world- Lion, Eagle, Wolf, Bear and Frog on the carnivore side, and Elephant, Goat, Iguana, and Whale deal with the herbivore and omnivore side. Insects and many fish have no representation in the council, so many of them are fair game for eating. It was decided that any animal who cannot understand the laws of the kingdom are to be killed or eaten: fair game for food. Modernized laws and punishments were made by Kingdom Animalia, which rules the Earth to this day.
So, what happened to Apolla City?
Today, the valley of the star is an abandoned city-the Valley of Dead Apolla. It is filled with crime, filth, lost and confused Librudes and a whole lot of abnormal activity. It is absolutely off limits to animals, not that you have to tell anyone that. The land is extremely cursed. Some say that disturbed souls haunt the land to this day. Others say that the moon seeks vengeance on any animal that dare come near its once worshiped shrine. Some animals take pity on the moon god; most look at the moon as a demon god. It is traditionally shameful to gaze up at the moon. In some cultures, it is forbidden to be seen, dwell, or even sleep in the full moon’s light.
Many young Librudes venture out to seek a better environment to live. It is no longer their world, however, and animals aren’t eager to trust any wild mutant creature, due to such bad blood in the history between animals and Librudes. Some try to blend in with society, hiding and being ashamed of the very power they were once so proud of. If they cannot somehow unite or make amends with their former animal ancestors, their very existence may be in great danger…
