Most importantly- angryTweet updates… well…whenever I can get comics done…right now. Heh, BUT, I will try to get into a routine where they will be posted every Sunday night/Monday morning. The first couple are going to be everywhere. In between two jobs and everything else going on in life, it’s just going to have to be this way. If you are following, I want to really apologize for this
. Ok, got that out of the way.
AngryTweet is a story I developed five years ago during a terrifying tornado storm. Something about that storm inspired me to draw this angry little bird, and from there the idea grew into a huge story. Originally, I wanted to make a flash animation series. As an animation student, however, I’ve quickly learned that animations take forever. Yeah. So, until I become a professional animator, I will just continue angryTweet in a webcomic form.
What inspired me the most to finally sit down and do this webcomic was actually the birth of twitter- once I heard people using the term “angry tweet” I got pissed because I knew it wouldn’t be long before this domain (which I owned 5 years ago) would be used up for that stupid fad. So I purchased it again… and here we are.
Tools
I use Artrage for the raster portions of my comic, and Inkscape for my vector portions. I cannot recommend these enough! Artrage is an amazing painting program that allows you to work with realistic digipaint, digicrayons, chalk, markers, and much more! Check it out HERE. DO IT- NOW! You’ll be happy you did
. Inkscape is an awesome replacement for Illustrator and, I think, it’s a little easier, actually. I mean, you can’t do really crazy things with it (like 3d stuff, at least in my version) but its really simple and——>FREE!!!! Gotta love open source. Check it out here
About, Me?
Ok, I don’t really like talking about myself, but I guess I will write something here.
I am a fairly new animation student pursuing my dream job as an animator. I’m not much into the 3d stuff (I know, Blasphemy!) I like the old skool frame-by-frame goodness. I am also a traditional artist, and I work with all kinds of mediums. I also compose music, but that’s another story. With all of this artsy-fartsy crap I am really into, it’s been really hard for me to master any one thing. I never spend my time on one thing, but 10 things. So, wanting to be a professional animator, I know that it will take me years of just studying drawings and videos of things moving before I can even begin to become good. This is my start- of hardcore “drawing-a-lot”. So if you want to cheer me on and help me achieve my dream, visit the donate section, and I will love you….probably forever.
Other things- I love animals (obviously). Growing up in a forest has made me very attached to nature. Also, growing up and having Saint Bernard breeders for parents will make you see dogs as your equal brothers and sisters. I have studied dogs in particular for years, and I also have taken up studying birds as well. I probably should have just become a vet…but my love for art and music has pulled me this way. I think that’s all….

An excuse to portray my political/religious views in cryptic writing or symbolism (an eagle and his personality DO NOT represent my feelings about the US, as an elephant and his personality DO NOT represent my feelings about republicans, etc) Symbolism showing power, wit, or antics in real animals will be shown, however. I am here to entertain you- not piss you off! :s 2. is NOT written for children. 3. IS NOT a tool that I am going to use to pay my bills or help me buy a new car.
